When
KosherNet's Client Filter is successfully installed and
configured on your computer, you will have a KleenWeb icon
on the bottom right hand corner of your screen (toolbar).
The icon is
a blue and bronze globe with a blue K in its center . If there is ever a problem with the Client software the
icon switches to a "Caution" icon a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in its center. (Click
here for more information for if your computer exhibits this
).
To make
changes to KleenWeb configurations at any time double-click
on the KleenWeb icon.
The Client
Filter Profile Manager controls two main things -
1.
Profile Selection:
Selects which Profile to currently use - This determines
which filter setting governs current internet access.
Changing this will affect actual, current internet
accessibility for the computer.
2.
Profile Management:
Changes settings for an individual Profile - This
determines, for any given Profile, what is and is not
accessible. Changing this will affect internet accessibility
only when the Profile is used. If a Profile's settings are
changed (meaning that you specify for a specific profile
what you'd like filtered) but that Profile is not the one
currently being used, nothing will be changed as far as
actual internet accessibility until and unless that Profile
is used/selected.
Internet
content is categorized into many descriptive categories.
Preset "Profiles" allow and disallow access to certain
categories of content. The Profile Manager can edit the
preset Profile to add or remove categories selected to be
accessible or blocked. The profile Manager can also add or
deny access to specific website addresses, for any Profile.
A custom made White-List can also be created and used as the
Profile for internet accessibility.
