What does "Five Uses" mean?

KleenWeb is designed so that one person controls all the major aspects (including install and uninstall) of overall filtering for the account.

A Kleenweb account allows for 5 installations of the KleenWeb software. There can be up to five computers using the account simultaneously. Five computers using the same account can use different profiles at the same time. Every computer for which filtering is desired, requires its own installation of KleenWeb software.

The reason for allowing five installations under one account is to allow one entity the use of Kleenweb on various computers, or reinstalls on the same computer. It is not designed to enable different adult users in different locations to share the same account.

There can be only one Profile Manager per account. This person -

  • Effectively decides whether there should be filtering at all and to what level, for whom, etc. and is the only one that can Manage Profiles.

  • Makes account settings that affect all users/installations under this account. Example: Profile Manager for Account established under the name Joe Clark sets that Profile 4 should allow access to site A, and should deny access to site B. Any computer using Profile 4 while using the Joe Clark account will have access to site A and no access to site B.

  • May obtain uninstall procedures for any computer using this Profile Manager Name & Password.

  • May cancel entire account (thus immediately altering the status of internet access for any computer under this account).
